The quick answer
The launch DMZ map is Hajin, a large North and South Korean border region. The official tour describes over 60 named locations, with 13 major points of interest. Use the Tac-Map grid to communicate: letters run west to east and numbers north to south, so a call like D7 identifies a general area rather than a precise doorway.
Major points of interest
| POI | Location | Base threat | What it means for a route |
|---|---|---|---|
| 14th Political Prison | Northwest Hajin (NK) | High; Citadel Critical | Fortified prison with watchtowers, yards, and the Y-shaped Citadel. High-risk interiors and strong loot. |
| Chang-san Air Base | Western Hajin (NK) | Critical; bunker Extreme | Granite hillside base with an underground complex, runway, hospital, barracks, and missile bunkers. Approach from elevated southern woodland. |
| Deadtown | Southwest Hajin (NK) | Low exterior; re-education centers Medium | Deserted township with street fighting, sewers, clinics, gas stations, and military storage disguised in housing. |
| Imjin Farmland | South-southwest Hajin (SK) | Low; Rice Mill Medium | Open floodplain with long sightlines and vehicles. The Rice Mill is the dominant elevated position. |
| Cheongun Village | Northern Hajin (SK) | Low; casino High | Urban village split by Russian border control. The Heavenly Luck Casino is a dark, multi-floor interior; NVGs help. |
| Mirae General Hospital | North-central Hajin (SK) | Low | Hospital, triage tents, barracks, parking, and a train station. Expect close-quarters wards and possible snipers from the south. |
| Cheonwang Peak Array | Central Hajin (SK) | Medium | Telecommunications array on a summit. Trails, boulders, a TV station, and a helipad with long-range views. |
| Haneul Nuclear Reactor | Northeast Hajin (SK) | High with radiation; border Medium | Severe radiation and a breached containment block. Protective gear is mandatory; water or the Compound Delta tunnel are noted approach options. |
| NuriGO Mall | Northeast Hajin City (SK) | Medium east; High west | Dense shopping district with a large underground mall. NVGs are useful underground. |
| The Grid | Central Hajin City (SK) | Critical; Nenshin Tech Extreme | Fortified CBD with razor wire, towers, skyscrapers, a construction zone, and vertical fights. |
| Songdo Wharf | Eastern Hajin City (SK) | Low | Residential waterfront, traditional market, pier, lighthouse, active rail, and a monorail. Quiet compared with the city core. |
| Wolves Stadium | South-central Hajin City (SK) | Medium | Ruined stadium, theatre, transit, police station, and dense surrounding streets. The Grid boundary is the most dangerous edge. |
| Hajin River Heights | Southeast Hajin (SK) | Medium | Residential streets, river bridge, Compound Echo, and wooded climbs toward South Island and a comms tower. |
Threat, radiation, and exfil
Threat is a local danger indicator shown under the compass. It runs from Low to Extreme and rises when Operators create noise or kill enemies. Human players are not included in that indicator, so a quiet-looking POI can still contain a rival squad. Break contact, move away, use stealth, or let the area cool before pushing deeper.
The HUD timer shows when radiation intensifies. It is not the only timer that matters: a Lieutenant Dog Tag Case broadcasts your position, and a high kill count can trigger a Hunt Squad. Plan an exit before the objective, not after it.
Enemy and vehicle checklist
The main hostile groups are tiered North Korean soldiers, armored and gas-masked variants, drone swarms, autonomous LMG drones, quadruped K9 units, attack helicopters, road convoys, Lieutenants, and Commanders. Vehicles help cross open ground but have limited armor and fuel. Repair and refuel at gas stations; a vehicle is not a mobile safe room.
Route suggestions
- First deployments: start with low-threat edges such as Deadtown exterior, Imjin Farmland, Mirae Hospital, Songdo Wharf, or Cheongun outskirts. Complete one Order and leave before the threat spikes.
- Loot-focused runs: use the hospital, NuriGO Mall underground, police stations, clinics, gas stations, and fire stations; check the Tac-Map for caches and compound markers.
- Boss runs: use the Boss Board or a Lieutenant Hunt tower. Treat the Dog Tag Case as a beacon and head directly to exfil.
- High-risk runs: Chang-san Air Base, the Prison Citadel, Haneul Reactor, and The Grid are not beginner routes. Bring protection, a reliable primary, and a plan for vertical or armored enemies.
